City Real Property For Sale
This section contains real properties for sale that are owned by the City of Washburn. Each year the City will review all of its properties to determine which lands are available for sale. For each property listed for sale, an appraisal must be conducted. Those appraisals are listed below as well as any certified surveys that have been conducted on the listed properties.
It is important to note the zoning for each particular property. That is the best indication as to what type of development the property is best suited for.
The City Administrator is authorized to negotiate the sale of any parcel included on the for sale list, subject to any conditions attached to the parcel’s listing, and subject to the review by the Plan Commission and final approval by the Common Council.

APPRAISALS
Not all available parcels have appraisals. Please note that these are detailed appraisals in PDF format.
NOTE: Parcel 2, the zoning classification of "industrial" listed in appraisal is incorrect.
NOTE: Parcel 24 does not front sewer service as indicated in the appraisal. An estimate from November 2016 suggests it will cost approximately $60,000 to connect this parcel to sewer, which will be mandatory if it is built upon. Because of this, the City would consider an offer of $1 for this parcel if the purchaser would pay for the sewer main extention that would need to meet City standards. If this is done, it may be possible to negotiate a reimbursement agreement from a privately held property to assist in defraying the cost. Please contact the City Administrator to discuss details.
