UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS

​Yard Waste Disposal

The City of Washburn provides a controlled drop-off site for disposal of yard waste materials for City residents only. This site is located at 1488 County Highway C, approximately 1.5 mi. north of State Highway 13.

The Yard Waste Disposal Site is tentatively set to be open;
Wednesdays & Saturdays - April 30 - November 5, 2022.

However, these dates may change because of the weather.  Please check the City Calendar, Facebook page, or contact City Hall at (715) 373-6160 for actual scheduled opening and closure dates.
  • Wednesdays: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM  
  • Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Acceptable yard waste materials to be disposed:
  • Lawn and garden clippings
  • Leaves, brush and small branches
  • Tree limbs 6” in diameter or less must be in 10 foot lengths or shorter
  • Tree limbs 6" to 12" in diameter must be in 6 foot lengths or shorter.  
​Unacceptable:
  • NO trees larger than 12" in diameter
  • NO tree stumps
  • NO household waste
Persons who dispose of items after hours or who dispose of prohibited items will be prosecuted. Users will be required to sign a roster to establish residency.
