SKYWARN Weather Training 2010
The Bayfield County Emergency Management Office will sponsor SKYWARN training at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 29th at the BayfieldCounty EMergency Opeartions Center, 117 E Sixth St., Washburn.
The SKYWARN training program will cover:

Meteorological dynamics involved in thunderstorm development.

Ingredients necessary to make a thunderstorm produce damaging winds, large hail or cause a tornado.

Thunderstorm features to look for during severe weather development.
-
Procedures for reporting severe weather information to the National Weather Service.

The mission of the National Weather Service and the important role SKYWARN volunteers play in that mission.

Tips to keep you and your family safe during thunderstorms.
